Transparent and Accountable public procurement enhance economic performance of a country especially with increasing number of capital and infrastructural development projects that are commissioned across Africa and Zimbabwe in particular.
Africa Innovation Trust, under the Africa Accountability 2.0 project, a contemporary approach anchored on the use of technology to promote transparency and accountability in public procurement, developed this module to provide base understanding on the subject.
This Module envisages to be available and accessible to all and sundry, becoming an information and knowledge resource on public procurement best practices. It seek to enhance the publics’ capabilities to significantly contribute as major stakeholders in public procurement audit.
Among other existing and ongoing interventions, the module outlined an overview on public procurement, citing prevalent gaps, drawing lessons from select cases of Australia and South Africa andproposing practical frameworks for best practices in Africa and Zimbabwe in particular.
