Advertising

Publication of procurement opportunities in line with Section 8 and 10 of Procurement Regulations [2002] include activities such as:

  • Advertisements in the Government gazette, where the State is the procuring entity
  • Newspaper circulating in the area which the procuring entity has jurisdiction
  • Newspaper with wide international circulation or relevant technical or trade magazines where tenders are invited from suppliers who are non-nationals or resident in Zimbabwe
  • 30 day closing period;
  • Preparation and dispatch of lett­ers for Special Formal Tender (Section 7(1)(2) of the Procurement Regulations;
  • Issuance of the bidding documents;
  • Use of approved list (Section 26 of Procurement Regulations);
  • Direct Purchases (Section 7(1)(2) of the Procurement Regulations.
